HURRICANE SEASON INFO!

TROPICAL STORM WATCH: as defined by the National Weather Service as conditions including winds from 39 to 73 miles per hour posing possible threat to a specified coastal area within 36 hours the Rentor must:

  • Strike dodgers
  • Remove dinghies
  • Remove roller reefing jibs
  • Lash mainsail
  • Remove anchors that will chafe pennants
  • Affix chafing gear
HURRICANE WATCH: as defined by the National Weather Service as conditions of sustained wind of 74 miles per hour or higher and dangerously high water posing possible threat within 36 hours the Rentor must vacate mooring.
 
 
BLOCK ISLAND
Launch Service is finished for the season ~ see you next year!
Leaves the Block Island Boat Basin every hour on the hour
Stops at Champlain's Marina every hour on the half hour
